An Entry Into A Contest

So recently I’ve entered a pitch video into a contest being held by Olympus and YouTube. You were to pitch a 2 – 3 minute video talking about what you would do with a new Olympus Pen Digital/Video Camera and $5000. My pitch was for a web series by the name of OPEN WOUNDS. The first 12 episodes of the series would follow an ex-paranormal detective named Jack Ridley, who after watching his best friend, a vigilante undead crime fighter named Gravestone, be murdered in front of him by his long time arch enemy, a powerful vampire named Damien Quidd, Jack separates himself from the rest of the world. It’s not until a few months later that a strange woman shows up at Jack’s door telling him she knows someone is trying to resurrect Damien, that Jack actually snaps out of his funk and stops at nothing to prevent the resurrection from happening. The overall story arch deals with finding the truth, deception and betrayal. I’ve written the stories in such a way that as you watch, you start to realize things aren’t exactly as they seem, ultimately keeping you guessing as you watch. Done in the style of LOST or FLASHFORWARD where the story can and will jump around in time as it progresses (more used in the second set of 12 episodes than the first part) until the final story is told and the audience can piece it together on their own.
I’ve submitted my pitch to YouTube and in order to be chosen, I must have one of the 6 top highest “LIKE” rankings out of all those submitted. Below is the link to take you to the video and watch basically what I just described to you above. Please invite your friends, family, animals, whomever to either sign-in or create a YOUTUBE account and click LIKE in order to help me make this web series come true.
